Dellner United Kingdom

  • Dellner site in the United Kingdom

The United Kingdom is one of Dellner’s most prominent locations worldwide. The former mining town of Swadlincote in South Derbyshire is home to Dellner’s second production site for gangways alongside India.

Dellner UK employs 165 people, most of whom are involved in the development and production of our innovative gangways for the global rail market. In addition, the site is also responsible for the overhaul of couplers and gangways for the UK market.

Part of Dellner since 2009

The UK site became part of Dellner with the acquisition of the Woodville Polymer Group in 2009. Following the acquisition, the gangway business was then further expanded.

Representing a special milestone, Dellner UK introduced the world’s first gangway with panels in 2014. Today, Dellner UK delivers its gangways to train manufacturers and operators across the globe.

Sustainability

Sustainability plays a particularly crucial role for production sites. That’s why we at Dellner UK have improved the energy efficiency of our production processes.

In addition, we have switched our energy supply to green gas and launched a programme to convert lighting to LEDs. Dellner UK is also ahead of its corporate target to reduce annual electricity and gas consumption by 2.5 percent.

Awards

Dellner UK has won the Siemens Supplier of the Year award twice in recent years.
