Our subsidiary in Poland, located close to Gdynia in the town of Miszewko . It is our largest manufacturing facility producing a full range of Train Connection Systems, coupler production is the main output from the facility. We produce couplers from one single unit to full serial production for Central and Eastern Europe and global markets.

In our Service Centre, technicians perform full overhauls, product modernisation, repair, upgrades and production of spare parts for OEM and non-OEM couplers. In total, more than 370 highly skilled and dedicated employees with multiple skillsets have experience in a variety of different disciplines are employed at our Polish facility.

A success story

Our Dellner history in Poland started in 1997 with renting a workshop from one of SKM’s Tricity facilities, there we also successfully commenced our service activities of installed couplers on Polish EMUs, EN57.

The small subsidiary in Poland quickly gained trust within the Dellner organization which resulted with an investment for a new facility located in Chwaszczynska, Gdynia. Dellner relocated to the new facility in 2002, where it remained for the next 15 years, during this period we extended the facility twice.

Over the years we’ve significantly developed our knowledge, knowhow and experience within manufacturing and assembly of all types of couplers becoming the biggest coupler production facility among all Dellner sites. At the same time, we expanded and strengthen our Dellner Service capabilities becoming an expert in this area.

Furthermore, Dellner Poland has geographical sales responsibility for Central and Eastern Europe, well recognised as a coupler supplier within the OEM market as well as all major operators within the region, at the same time growing our sales team, design engineering, procurement, project management and production of coupler products dedicated for worldwide markets.

Dellner Poland doesn’t stand still, we’re constantly striving for improvements within the organization, to best deliver results for customers, management and stakeholders. As we continued our growth, it was time to relocate to a greenfield special purpose building to secure the future and cater for longer term diversity within train connection systems. At the end of 2020 relocating to the newly built state-of-the-art production facility in Miszewko. This move strengthened our relation locally, and with global markets, improved efficiency, while optimizing processes and enhanced supply chain management

Important pillar

Since 1997, Dellner Poland has become the biggest production and service site. Today, the majority of global functions supporting the whole organisation are located with the Polish facility. These include:

production and final assembly of couplers,
Service Center,
engineering and re-engineering,
project management,
sales and marketing,
strategic procurement.

In Miszewko, we have a dedicated Service Centre providing after-sales services for Dellner subsidiaries worldwide. These services include product modernisations, upgrades, repairs of our own (OEM) couplers as well as other coupler brands (Non-OEM), including production of spare parts.

In January 2021, Dellner signed an agreement to acquire the coupler division of the Spanish CAF MiiRA Group. As part of the acquisition, engineering and production transferred from Spain to the Polish facility. We established an additional production line to continue supplying CAF MiiRA customers from the Polish facility.

Awarded excellence

Dellner Poland’s successful development was rewarded in 2021, 2022 and 2023 with the prestigious Forbes Diamonds Awards. The award is presented annually to companies that have most effectively increased their value over the past three years.

The ranking results were based on criteria such as financial results, property value, payment history and credibility, as well as an absence of detrimental legal incidents. This title confirms that Dellner is one of the leading companies in Poland. It is not only an award for outstanding local work; it also confirms our financial stability and credibility to our customers.

Certification

Dellner Poland owns an IRIS certificate and is certified according to ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2 and EN 15085-2 (Welding Certificate). Morover, it is constantly developing new processes to protect the environment and the community.

Focus on sustainability

In 2021, Dellner Poland received the Socially Responsible Railway Company Award in the competition organized by Association for the Interoperability and Development of Rail Transport & ASTE in cooperation with Gdańsk International Trade Fair TRAKO in Poland.
