The North American market has long been of great significance to Dellner. Today, about 40 employees across two locations in Charlotte, North Carolina and Roseville, California provide a service to our customers in Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Services at our locations include the sale and installation of new Dellner train couplers, overhauls and repairs of installed train couplers, and the supply of spare parts and accessories for Train Connection Systems.
The coupling specialist Dellner, based only in Sweden at the time, chose the USA as its most important foreign market in the 1960s. Consequently, the well-known company from the small Swedish town of Vika established its first outpost in the USA: a small office in Los Angeles.
Under the Managing Director for all Dellner companies outside Sweden, Sune Bergs, business took off in the 1970s and 80s.
After years of growth and several moves, Dellner finally found its home in the USA in Charlotte, NC in 1993. Our office and workshop are still located here today. The workshop in Roseville, CA was added later on. Since 2012, the company has been operating as Dellner Inc.
Social commitment plays a big role for Dellner USA. We care about the health, safety and well-being of our employees and are committed to ensuring diversity and excellent working conditions.
To improve the sustainability of our workplaces, we have implemented a recycling programme locally and upgraded our factories to LED lighting and sensors to minimise our electricity consumption.
Dellner USA is IRIS-certified and holds ISO 22163 and ISO 14001 certifications.
